Speaker Bela Henríquez, a young Afro-Colombian woman and
activist from Santa Marta, represents many young people whose parents have been assassinated in the Colombian conflict. Examples include protecting Afro-Colombian and indigenous territories and making sure that those who have been killed during the conflict are not forgotten.
