Guitar Lessons at Terraza

Objectives:

Instructor: Daniel Reyes

To introduce the student to a different approach on
Guitar and music education based on the principle of
the conection of three centers:
Head, Hands & Heart.

Guitar Work will be presented as basic exercises and
techniques.

The main focus is how we play not what we play.

This courses are open to any level of student from the
one with no previous experience to all different
levels.

The total beginner student will be introduced to
different techniques and exercises to understand the
fundamentals of playing guitar from zero to a basic
understanding of the instrument.
For the student of any other level this course will be
an introduction and unique revision of it—s current
playing and relationship with music and guitar.

Classical Guitar, Rock , Jazz, Popular and
Contemporary Guitar Techniques.
Flatpicking & Fingerstyles.

The class consist of 60 minutes for 35$ dollars
session or special packages also available.

Daniel Reyes Llinas began his Musical career at age of
10 teaching himself how to play the guitar. Having
different bands among the most important was —Bhang—
opening at the National artists Hall in Bogota in
1996. Later takes his formal musical training with
guitarist Carlos Castilla ; In 1999 he studied in
Andes University in Bogota, Colombia with Carlos Rocca
Lynn, and Jaime Arias Obregon. Member of the Andes
guitar quartet and several ensembles attended
Masterclasses and workshops with Cuba—s outstanding
Composer Leo Brouwer also with distinguished Spaniard
Quarter —EntreQuatre—.

As soloist has taken private, master classes and
workshops with Leo Brouwer, (Cuba), Eduardo
Fernandez, (Uruguay), Ricardo Cobo, (Colombia),
Jorge Caballero, (USA-Peru), Francisco Navarro,
Fernando Kabusacki (Argentina) , Manuel Barrueco,
Ricardo Iznaola (USA-Cuba), Tony Geballe, Curt
Golden, Scott Tennant, Al Koonze ( USA), Ahmet
Kannecci ( Turkey), among others.

In 2001 He was selected among the —Youngest Performer
Series— at Luis Angel Arango Music Hall in Bogotá.

In 2002 he traveled to the United States to broad his
musical experiences. He attended the introductory
Guitar Craft seminar 2004 in Seattle, WA, with Tony
Geballe, Curt Golden, (U.S) and the League of Crafty
Guitarist. Since then He has continue Taking private
lessons with Tony Geballe. In march 2005 He attended
Guitar Craft—s — level One— 2005 in Lebanon, NJ,
directed by the distinguished The British Composer,
Guitarist and author Robert Fripp.

Performances, Recitals and Concerts, at the Museum of
Modern Art,— Mambo— , (Bogotá), The Andes University,
Lleras Auditorium; National University of Colombia,
León de Greiff Auditorium; The International Book
fair, Toccata y Fuga, Berlin Bar ( Medellin), All
The Saints Church, Vim Variety show, Philadelphia
Classical Guitar Store, SGI-USA-NYC, Nuyorican Poets
Café, Tishman auditorium, New School University,
Joe—s Pub Public Theater and The National Arts Club in
New York. P.S 122 , Latin American Workshop, just to
name a few.

In 2006 was invited to participate in Taylor Mac—s
—Red Tide Blooming— Musical presented in P. S 122,
two weeks of sold out and acclaimed shows with
recorded music CD of the show, soon to be released.

Singer Loraine Rodriguez whom got commissioned to give
premiere to the works by the prestigious composer
Diego Luzuriaga, has invited Daniel to record these
pieces in her upcoming CD.

Currently producing and recording —Trinidad Guitar
Duo— first album—s with Nicolas Carrizosa, Colombian
traditional and non-traditional music.
